Bio: A native of Southern California, I received my Bachelor's degree in Art from California State University-Long Beach. My first foray into education took place during my undergrad as a teacher's assistant. I later became a full-time teacher of both Art and Physical Education for grades 6-12. I took a hiatus from the classroom to stay at home to raise my children, however I returned once they were all of school-age. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to work as a paraprofessional aide alongside a child with Down Syndrome, in the preschool classroom setting and as a substitute teacher, eventually serving as a full-time substitute/interim Music teacher. The 2026-27 school year will mark my first year as a part of the full-time staff at LPCA, working as a First Grade Assistant.
My husband, Dave, and I have been married for over 30 years. We have shared a life of serving the Lord together in ministry that stems as far back as when we first met at working at a Christian summer camp. We have served in four churches together in California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and North Carolina. In this current season we share in ministry at the First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville, where Dave leads as head pastor. Our greatest joy however are our six daughters and two sons-in-law, and that each of their hearts and lives are inclined to the Lord. We give thanks each day for this incredible blessing.
