High School Teacher - Un Kyoung Han has been teaching at Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy since 2011. She received a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She enjoyed being part of the Student Athletic Trainer program. During this time she picked up her nickname “Sam”. In the summer of 1992, she visited her birthplace in Seoul, Korea for a ten-week Korean language program. It was there that she was involved in a car accident that broke her femur in half. She underwent two surgeries and a year of bone stimulation therapy. This intense experience has given her an appreciation for the complexities of the human body and the tenacity of life that exemplifies God's marvelous design.
Mrs. Han is thankful to be sharing her love of learning with the students at Liberty Prep. She is excited to partner with parents in guiding this generation towards a life of purity, excellence, and whole-hearted devotion to Jesus.
Mrs. Han is married with three kids and loves to read, work in the garden, and play outside in her spare time.
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically...Intelligence plus character- that is the goal of education.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.
